One man dead, four others injured in overnight stabbing

EDMONTON — Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 23-year-old man after an overnight altercation that left four others with injuries.

Police were called to a weapons complaint in the area of 102 Street and 107 Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Two men were found suffering from stab wounds and taken to hospital where they remain in serious but stable condition.

Further investigation led officers to an apartment one block west of the original location where a third man was found with stab wounds. The 23-year-old man was taken to hospital where he died.

Two other men with stab wounds were found in hospital. Police believe all of the incidents are related.

An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
