Police in South Gate, California attacked a woman and stole her phone while she was video taping them on the street the other day. They destroyed her phone. I don’t know how many crimes that officer committed during the 53 second video of the incident. I count at least three (assault, strong-armed robbery and vandalism)
The officers she was recording were dressed in flak-jackets marked “police” so they weren’t undercover agents. They were out in the street in broad daylight. The woman recording the officers on her phone was well within her rights to do so.
You can see the cop run up to her from the side and snatch the phone out of her hand, stamp on it and then kick it toward her violently. If the phone hit her when he kicked it toward her, that could be yet another assault charge.
