Police: Two In Custody In Connection With Fatal Shooting Near CPD Headquarters In Bronzeville

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago Police have taken two people into custody in connection with a drive-by shooting Tuesday night that left one man dead and three other people wounded a block from Police Headquarters.

upt. Garry McCarthy said, at an unrelated news conference, that three guns were seized in the course of the investigation into the shootings, near the intersection of 35th Street and Indiana Avenue.

Police say 52-year-old Christan Barlow, of the 2400 block of East 73rd Street, was fatally wounded. Police say Barlow was apparently an innocent bystander, caught in the crossfire on 35th Street when the gunman opened fire from a car and the intended targets fired back.
